Fire Risk Assessments are required by The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 and If you are wondering whether it applies to your workplace, we can tell you that it does - unless you work at home or in a non-commercial business!
It is compulsory to assess the risks from fire to your premises, staff and businesses adjacent to your premises and many fires can be avoided by taking the necessary fire precautions.

If a fire does break out, the effects can be minimised by having effective controls and procedures in place.

So, what do Fire Risk Assessments involve?

Our Fire Risk Assessments include a comprehensive assessment of your workplace which will consist of three stages:
  1. Identifying the hazards within your business
  2. Identifying the people at risk
  3.  Suggest ways to evaluating, removing or reducing the risk.
The purpose of conducting a Fire Risk Assessment is to identify key issues within your business that need addressing in order to prevent or reduce the risk from fires.

Veritas Consulting can provide you with a qualified and experienced assessor to conduct a Fire Risk Assessment on your behalf, who will:
  • Identify areas within your business that are most at risk from fire.
  • Identify key issues that need addressing to prevent or reduce the risk from fire.
  • Advise you on the actions that need to be taken in order to achieve this.
